🥩Beef Strips with Bell Peppers and Fresh Herbs

Ingredients (serves 2)
  • 10.5 oz (300 g) beef sirloin, cut into strips
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 yellow bell pepper
  • 1 garlic clove, unpeeled
  • 2 tablespoons Duca di Puglia EVOO
  • Fresh or dried chili pepper (optional), to taste
  • Fresh oregano or marjoram
  • Flaky sea salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
Preparation
  • Wash and deseed the peppers, then slice into thin strips.
  • In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of Duca di Puglia extra virgin olive oil with the garlic and, if using, some chili pepper slices.
  • Add the peppers and sauté over medium-high heat for 6–8 minutes until tender yet still crisp.
  • Set the peppers aside and, in the same skillet, add another tablespoon of Duca di Puglia extra virgin olive oil.
  • Sear the beef strips over high heat for 2-3 minutes. Season with salt only at the end to keep them juicy.
  • Return the peppers to the skillet, toss to combine, and adjust the seasoning.
  • Arrange everything on a plate, finish with a touch of Duca di Puglia extra virgin olive oil, and garnish with fresh herbs.

Gourmet Tip – Use DOP Duca di Puglia extra virgin olive oil to elevate the contrast between the sweetness of the peppers and the richness of the beef. Its bold, aromatic profile brings out the best in every bite. For an extra refined finish, add a sprinkle of fresh oregano and a final drizzle of oil right before serving.
